Most of April and May have gone with making the last modifications on the chassis and body before sending it for sandblasting and metallization for the last time.
I have previously written about the project of fitting a tachometer in the the middle of the dash and a series of flip-switches below it. I have now finish that work and the result can be seen below. I think it will end up looking nice once the dash has been painted.
Apart from that there has been some minor – but necessary – tasks of making sure that the holes in the chassis will fit those in the body and that the seats will fit the mounts. But everything is ready now and my workshop buddy Pieter has offeret to drive the body and chassis up to Jyderup Sandblæseri. So the car will hit the road again (on the bed of a trailer)
